The Madlanga commission heard testimony about text messages between Mokgotsi and Matlala that detailed payments to the suspended police minister, manipulation of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate and the sharing of classified information
Mthethwa served in cabinet for 15 years in the portfolios of Sport, Arts and Culture; and Police.
General Khumalo’s testimony at the Madlanga Commission is at the center of the Inquiry.
Mthethwa was appointed ambassador to France in December 2023.
Mthethwa’s body was found at the Hyatt Hotel where he reportedly died from a fall.
This is an interim order until the Mabuza family resolves their disputes.
